I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: now is a very good time for musings on game culture. For a while there, things looked mighty bleak, mostly with the demise of GameSetWatch and similar outlets not too long ago.
Granted, it’s true that mainstream outlets continue to miss the mark, plus quality writing about obscure video game nonsense is still extremely difficult to monetize, along with how places like Eastern Mind & SolidSharkey remain very much missed.
Nevertheless, there’s a new generation of outsider voices out there to help us all go “I had no f’n idea!” when it comes to electronic entertainment.
